Advanced Practice sessions are suited for practitioners and managers who have completed Introductory training, have used the Outcomes Star with service users or supervise staff who are using the Star, and would like to extend their skills in specific areas. Two 2.5 hour courses will be available in 2024. The fee for each of these sessions is $125 plus GST.

How to Use the Star in supervision

‘How to Use the Star in supervision’ is ideal for supervisors and supervisees who would like to explore opportunities to reflect upon practice through the lens of the Outcomes Star. Areas for consideration will be drawn from the participants but might include:

  • How the Star can support a practitioner’s sense of purpose around client-centred, social justice principles
  • Supporting staff towards sustainable well-being and ethical, accountable practice
  • Balancing organisational needs with Star-best practice- are they different?

How to create client-centred, strengths-based action plans

‘How to create client-centred, strengths-based action plans’ is ideal for practitioners who would like to extend their skills in using the Star to explore their clients’ ‘future pictures’ to create meaningful, practical action plans.

Areas for consideration will be drawn from the participants but might include:

  • Solution-focused strengths-based questions that can help define ‘where to’ for service users
  • How to make the most of a snapshot and the Journey of Change so we get the balance ‘right’
  • How an aspiration can become something Concrete and ‘doable’

Registration for Advanced Practice Sessions

  • You will be invoiced upon registration and full payment is required in advance of the training. If you cancel your registration more than 14 days in advance of the training you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days in advance will receive a 50% refund. There will be no refund for cancellations made within 7 days of the training. Participants unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances arising within 7 days of the training are asked to contact us asap at contact@uniqueoutcomes.com.au to discuss options. This may include nominating a colleague to take your place or registering for a future course. Participants who have not paid and who either do not show for the training, or alternatively cancel within 7 days of the training, will receive an invoice for the full fee.
