Explore the Stars available for the Adult Care sector
The adult care sector is extremely broad, but most services in this sector focus on helping people achieve the outcomes that matter in their lives.
Services in this sector span social care and Local Authorities, the voluntary sector and the private sector. The two main groups of service users included here are older people, and adults with learning disabilities or other additional needs. Below you can find information on the Outcomes Star versions available for this sector.
Older Person’s Star
The Older Person’s Star has been designed for use with older people, and it has a focus on re-enablement. A shorter version is available which is ideally suited for use in resource centres or day services.
Independent Living Star
The Independent Living Star has been designed for use with adults being supported to live in their own homes as independently as possible. Suitable for older people, people with physical disabilities and others needing additional support to be independent.
Carers Star
The Carers Star is designed for use with adults in the ‘carer’ role. It was developed with Social Enterprise East Lothian and the Carers Trust, and there are discounted training and licence rates available for Carers Trust member organisations.
Life Star
The Life Star is designed for use with young people and adults with learning disabilities. It can help services to measure the difference they are making in people’s lives, as well as supporting services to work together with service users to maximise their independence, choice and well-being.
